Commission member Randy Vermilya cast the lone vote in favor of asking trustees to approve the zoning amendment.īefore making its decision, the commission heard from about 20 township residents and business owners about the proposed planned-unit development housing community. The property is situated on the west side of Lane Road, north of the railroad tracks located closest to South Ridge Road, or Route 84.Īt the conclusion of that hearing, the Zoning Commission voted 4-1 to recommend that township trustees not change the zoning of the property from single-family residential. The partnership originally had asked to rezone 93 acres for a housing development consisting of 150 homes. Trustees, at their March 28 meeting, voted to accept the request the application withdrawal. In addition, Trivisonno asked that township trustees cancel any public hearings scheduled for the rezoning, Sundy said. Trivisonno, in a letter to the township, stated that Lane Road Partners no longer was seeking the rezoning and gave official notice that the entity was withdrawing its zoning amendment application, township Administrator Karen Sundy said. Thomas Trivisonno, a developer acting on behalf of Lane Road Partners LLC, filed a motion for withdrawal that was received by township government leaders late last month. An entity that owns property in Perry Township has withdrawn its request for a zoning amendment which would have allowed construction of a new housing development on Lane Road.
